Hi all,
some of you either changed email address or have DNS problems. This
causes sendmail to try for 600 seconds each mail that falls on this
category. The result is that the mail queue for the whole unipi.it (that
hosts the ntop mailing lists) is stuck. In order to avoid this a new
policy has been put in place: if a user for two days in a row has DNS
problems or other problems it is automatically deleted from the list. I
know that this practice is quite rude, but it's that best that came up
to Davide's (the mailman administrator) mind. If you have suggestion,
feel free to mail us (not the lists).

In addition, as the lists have been closed (i.e. only people who
subscribed can post), this caused a lot of trouble to people with more
than 1 email address. I feel that's better to get some spam rather than
to make life difficult for these people. What's your opinion? [BTW here
in Europe, spamming is considered as a pain that needs to be avoided. On
the other hand telephone companies that are spamming with SMSs are
calling this 'service' :-(].

I apologise for all the problems you might have experienced in the past
days.

Have a nice day, Luca
