It is 2.0.1 and that is exactly what I am trying to do. They are not actually local
to the machine because it is monitoring in promiscuous mode. They are however the
IP's that are used to represent my network to the internet. I want to make it list
them as local so that the monitoring statistics make sense but I can't seem to get
this to work. I went through the mailing list archives and someone else had exactly
the same problem but no one posted a solution. Does the line look correct though or
could I have made an error?

Thanks,
Chris

You didn't say which version... there are differences between 2.0 and
2.0.99...

Anyway, the -m identifies other subnets (besides your local interface) that
are treated as "pseudo local", i.e. local for most purposes.

Parsing is in handleLocalAddresses() in util.c - check the log for messages.
You may want to enable --trace-level 3 (-t 3) to see more of them...

Subject: [Ntop] -m option for local subnets

I am trying to set the local subnets for ntop but it is ignoring my -m
command.

The command I am using to run ntop is
/usr/local/bin/ntop -u nobody -i eth2 -p /usr/share/ntop/protocols.list -m
???.??.??.64/26 -S2

I am just putting question marks to hide my IP subnets in this case just
imagine that they have been replaces with the correct starting address (-1
of course).
So what gives? The addresses in that range are still showing as remote. Am
I doing something wrong?

Thanks,
Chris
