Hello Burton,

My config was not on trouble :

[root@iptrafic]$ rpm -q --whatprovides /sbin/chkconfig
chkconfig-1.2.24-1
[root@iptrafic]$ rpm -q --whatprovides /sbin/ldconfig
glibc-2.2.4-24
[root@iptrafic]$ rpm -q --whatprovides /sbin/service
initscripts-6.43-1

The problems was with an empty /var/lock/subsys/ntop file that I
deleted and every thing is fine now.

I've also tested with RedHat 7.3 glibc-2.2.5-37 packages and its rocks too.

Thank you for all.
