Hello! Is there any formula for knowing what kind of computercapacity you need versus bandwidth/users when saving to a database. We are using a P200 MMX with 64Mb on a mirrored port, with a Networkload of 250 kb avarage. We are using mySQL, running Red Hat 7.3. The only thing we get in the terminal is UpdateDbHostTraffic(myGlobals.device=0), and we think the computercapacity is to low for ntop to insert data to the database. When we run ntop saving to file it works, but the information from file isn't enough for us. We don't have the possibility to run at lower Networkload. Any idea of what kind of computer we would need if the computer we are using is to slow.
