Messages to the list, not me personally... most of them I just junk... unless you're interested in paid support? And send messages as plain text (Format | Plain Text), so they're easier for others to read...
I'm not sure what you mean - the graph looks fine... Sounds like gdchart is bombing. Try running under gdb (see snapshot.ntop.org for instructions) with the -K and no -d parameters. -----Burton -----Original Message----- From: Horta, Benny [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]] Sent: Friday, September 20, 2002 2:11 PM To: 'Burton M. Strauss III' Subject: got more memory! hash size weird bug with network load chart -----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 well looks like an additional 256megs of RAM make a day and night difference anyhow a weird bug with the network load chart, once I reach the high CPU/hashtables the chart does not update it gets stuck but the text version when clicking on it are okay what happens is the chart stays stuck about the 3rd time slot and the time gets updated on the end of the chart but the chart does not move the other charts work fine. 3:10pm up 30 min, 2 users, load average: 2.07, 1.96, 1.38 40 processes: 37 sleeping, 3 running, 0 zombie, 0 stopped CPU states: 51.4% user, 48.5% system, 0.0% nice, 0.0% idle Mem: 513912K av, 302352K used, 211560K free, 0K shrd, 8912K buff Swap: 522104K av, 0K used, 522104K free 20556K cached PID USER PRI NI SIZE RSS SHARE STAT %CPU %MEM TIME COMMAND 1280 ntop 25 0 249M 249M 1452 R 84.7 49.6 14:54 ntop 1283 ntop 25 0 249M 249M 1452 R 8.2 49.6 9:02 ntop ntop version.....2.1.50 Built on.....09/20/02 12:40:08 PM OS.....i686-pc-linux-gnu Process Id.....1282 Command line Started as..../usr/local/bin/ntop -p 80 -z -u ntop -o -r 200 -i eth0 Command line parameters are: - -a | --access-log-path.....(default) (nil) - -b | --disable-decoders.....(default) No - -c | --sticky-hosts.....(default) No - -d | --daemon.....No - -e | --max-table-rows.....(default) 128 - -f | --traffic-dump-file.....(default) (nil) - -g | --track-local-hosts.....(default) Track all hosts - -o | --no-mac.....Don't trust MAC Addresses - -i | --interface (effective).....eth0 - -k | --filter-expression-in-extra-frame.....(default) No - -l | --pcap-log.....(default) (nil) - -m | --local-subnets (effective).....168.221.0.0/16, 10.0.0.0/8 - -n | --numeric-ip-addresses.....(default) No - -p | --protocols.....80 - -q | --create-suspicious-packets.....(default) Disabled - -r | --refresh-time.....200 - -s | --no-promiscuous.....(default) No - -t | --trace-level.....(default) 3 - -u | --user.....ntop (uid=501, gid=501) - -z | --disable-sessions.....Yes - -w | --http-server.....(default) Active, all interfaces, port 3000 - -z | --disable-sessions.....Disabled - -B | --filter-expression.....(default) none - -D | --domain.....localdomain - -E | --enable-external-tools.....(default) No - -F | --flow-spec.....(default) none - -K | --enable-debug.....(default) No - -L | --use-syslog.....daemon - -M | --no-interface-merge (effective).....(default) (Merging Interfaces) Yes - -N | --no-nmap (effective).....No (nmap will not be used) - -O | --pcap-file-path.....(default) /usr/local/var/ntop - -P | --db-file-path.....(default) /usr/local/var/ntop - -S | --store-mode.....(default) 0 (none) - -U | --mapper.....(default) (nil) - -W | --https-server.....Uninitialized - --throughput-chart-type.....(default) Area - --ignore-sigpipe.....(default) No - --ssl-watchdog.....(default) No Note: (effective) means that this is the value after ntop has processed the parameter.
