All,

My intent is get ntop working with mySQL so I can save the info and use
it outside of and
whithin ntop.

Running on Win 2000 Server SP3
AMD 1.8 with 512mbRam and 80 Gig HD
2 nic cards -i0 is a Realtek RTL8139(A) PCI Fast Ethernet Adapter

This Server is in a hub allong with approx. 10 other devices all at 10
mbs

ntop v.2.1.1 MT [WinNT/@K/XP] (19/07/2002 build)
mysql is at version 3.23.52-nt

Running, currently, on a machine by itself. Both mysql & ntop on same
machine.

Currently I start ntop as "ntop /c -i0"

I am trying to tie into a mySQL database and am not having much success.

when I add "-v"
followd by "username:password:databasename:hostIP" I get an error
saying --v is not valid

Where username is "rick"
password is "fred"
databaseName is "test"
and ip is "127.0.0.1"

I enter the following:

ntop /c -i1 -vrick:fred:test:127.0.0.1

and get the error that "-v" is not valid

My intent is get ntop working with mySQL so I can save the info and use
it outside of and
whithin ntop.

Please advise,

Richard Vlahov
