Wrong - it (the filter) works perfectly if you specify it correctly...

Are you getting data out of (from the script) dumpData.html?language=php ??

Subject: [Ntop] doSearch.php

Hi, Im trying to get doSearch.php script working, the one where you can
search
a host and it shows up certain stats about it. It doesnt seem to work at
all -
you do a search and it just shows up "Host | Values" and thats it. Ive got
it
logging traffic to an sql database however it doesnt seem to be working
properly either, it only logs certain things. I dont think the filter that
you
apply on the command line actually gets applied to the database right? the
filter im using is: (not src net 192.168.255.0/24) and dst net
192.168.255.0/24
but the database logging part seems weird. Is there any other way where I
can
save stats on a weekly basis? The only other thing I can think of is using
nClient to show host info, although that seems to also ignore the filter.
Does
anyone have any ideas on how I can get this working? i dont mind writing
perl/cgi scripts to grab data, but I just need a steady place to grab it
from.
This is my command line:

ntop -i eth0 -P /var/log/ntop -u nobody -c -S 1 -B (not src net
192.168.255.0/24) and dst net 192.168.255.0/24

Thanks
