Interesting albeit pretty ugly hack.  Of course, it works for them because
they know where they put things.

I guess we're not the only ones with automake/autoconf problems.  I don't
think we can borrow this - we would have a lot of trouble trying to find a
compatible set on an arbitrary machine...

As a datapoint, in Mandrake 8.2, in /usr/bin/ , the following symbolic
links:

autoconf autoheader autom4ate autoreconf autoscan autoupdate

all point to /usr/lib/autoconf/ac-wrapper.pl , that is attached (hopefully).
