Did you verify that ntop was still running? I would do a ps aux and see if the ntop process is running. My default debian installation was bombing out every time I tried to access it from browser, seemed like some kind of packaging error. So I downloaded and compiled the latest release and installed it. Works fine here. I'm back on woody now, no more unstable. Let me know and may be I can help you out.
