2.1.51 is the latest "official" development version of ntop). Anything
later is just a cvs snapshot...

Sounds like you don't have the right spec file or the right setup of
directories. Make sure you have the current files from the
ntop-2.1.51-0.src.rpm:

ntop.init
ntop.logrotate
ntop.spec
version.patch

Because of tools updates and directory name changes, etc. there were changes
between the 2.1.3 and 2.1.5x versions of the ntop.spec file (and maybe the
.patch files? - I don't remember).

The changlog on the spec file:

* Fri Nov 1 2002 Burton M. Strauss III <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>
- v2.1.51

* Tue Sep 20 2002 Burton M. Strauss III <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>
- v2.1.3

* Tue Jul 30 2002 Burton M. Strauss III <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>
- v2.1.2a (not released) - added chkconfig to requires list
-                        - rearranged patches
- - Added creation of ntop user

Anything called 2.1.52 is a bad idea, as it doesn't really exist until we
roll the version number (thus freezing 2.1.52 and starting on 2.1.53). Call
it 2.1.200211xx or something...

Now what does one enter at the prompt: "File to Patch:" I am attempting to
make the RPM from 2.1.52.
