You don't tell us anything about your environment - bad programmer, no biscuit for you!
It's probably a libpng conflict - read up on it in the back traffic and the docs/FAQ. Check and see if you have both the 1.0.x and 1.2.x versions of libpng (installed and/or in the ntop source tree). The development version has special logic in the gdchart ./buildAll script to delete ntop's gdchart libpng 1.2.x tree if it finds a 1.0.x installed version.
