I messaged with Michael Montague and he sent me his winpcap 3.0 alpha2 changes with his advances to make winpcap function ok on multiprocessor machines. He also mentioned the ntop maintainers are testing his code as well, and so I'm wondering if there is an available alpha 4 release thats multiprocessor friendly. I may test with just his compiled npf.sys driver, since I don't have msvc and the driver code apparently requires more gcc asm translations to compile with cygwin/mingw. Could someone summarize the current status on winpcap+smp, and is there anyone from the ntop group working on coming up with the gcc asm code?
