Hi, I have a Cyclades TS100 purchased for running nbox. Linux version 2.2.14 ([EMAIL PROTECTED]) (gcc version 2.95.2 19991030 (2.95.3 prerelease /franzo)) #2 Fri Jan 10 18:43:30 PST 2003 Cyclades-TS100-Linux V_1.3.5 (Jan/10/03)
I want to upload the nbox 2.0 firmware, but I'm confused about the difference between the manual and what's in the web site. The nProbe_nBox_User_Guide_20.pdf manual says : Connect to your nBox * Become root (su) if you logged in as a non privileged user * cd /proc/flash * ftp <server>, where <server> is a host that contains the firmware you want to upload. * bin * mget zImage *config* * quit * Reboot your nBox in order to activate the new firmware. But the http://luca.ntop.org/demo/nBox/firmware/ directory has a zImage AND a gzipped, *script.tar* Where is the "config" file as mentioned in the nProbe_nBox_User_Guide_20.pdf manual ? What do I do with this script.tar as I'm reluctant to blindly overwrite lots of things in /etc , / Or does the nBox zImage look for script.tar and untar and install the files itself ?? thanks, Darren Kruse Sales Support Engineer Ericsson Corporate Networks Tel 08 8202 7345 : 0407 446 399 [EMAIL PROTECTED] _______________________________________________ Ntop mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://listgateway.unipi.it/mailman/listinfo/ntop
