Salvatore,
when the packages are made by software experts/lovers they
(the packages) are wonderful things, and they (still the packages)
really make the life a bit easier. When problems occur you have
three major choices:
0 ask for help (e.g. mailing list or google)
1 hack the packages by yourself (only if you are expert/lover)
2 compile and install from sources (suggested)
Here is a mini-howto in order to have so much info about traffic
on your network. Be sure to have a mirror for meaningful data.
1> setenv CVSROOT :pserver:[EMAIL PROTECTED]:/export/home/ntop
2> cvs login
3> cvs co .
4> cd ntop
5> ./configure --help
6> ./configure
7> make
8> su
# make install
# exit
9> rehash
10> sudo ntop <please insert here your optional parameters>
Have packets.
/rocco
