Read the back traffic on this list - it's NOT a bug. The error lies between the chair and keyboard...
ntop creates rrd files for each host it sees. Although the individual file is small (the precise size depends on the options on the plugin page), the aggregate size - if you/your users run P2P file sharing, port scans, etc. is quite large.
