I'm not going to be ABLE to pursue this any further, bec I was forced
to reconfigure the NTOP host where the problem was encountered.

Since the Great Host Reconfiguration last week (the NTOP host went
from being a "spectator" on the LAN, to being a bridge), I'm not going to
pursue this item w/ a PR, unless something really profound happens.
