[Ntop] Eth0 vs NetFlow virtual device

Hi, I'm very recently working with ntop and everything has been 
fasinating and tortuous becouse of my lack of knowledge in Linux, but 
anyway I'm writing because this:

I have a TS-100 nBox with nprobe configured sending Netflows v5 to a Red 
Hat Linux with ntop. My cuestion is What advantages do I have working 
with a nbox sending flows to ntop, in terms of information received an 
statics, instead of working with the ntop only capturing packages 
throught the eth0 interface?

All I want is know who is sending packages to who, and what ports are 
using, and how load the network is. Which case shows more information, 
and fit better my needs?
