Hi,

I have a red hat 8.0 Linux machine with no updates, Kernel 2.4.18-14 on an i686. I'm trying to install the ntop v 2.2c but it needs glibc > 2.3. When I try to install it comes to this:

[EMAIL PROTECTED] glibc]# rpm -i glibc-2.3.2-4.80.6.i686.rpm
warning: glibc-2.3.2-4.80.6.i686.rpm: V3 DSA signature: NOKEY, key ID db42a60e
error: Failed dependencies:
glibc-common = 2.3.2-4.80.6 is needed by glibc-2.3.2-4.80.6
[EMAIL PROTECTED] glibc]# rpm -i glibc-common-2.3.2-4.80.6.i386.rpm
warning: glibc-common-2.3.2-4.80.6.i386.rpm: V3 DSA signature: NOKEY, key ID db42a60e
error: Failed dependencies:
glibc < 2.3.2 conflicts with glibc-common-2.3.2-4.80.6

How can I install Glibc 2.3 without the dependences conflict?.
