Read
the discussions in this WHOLE thread. That's largely the point - different
measurement points measure different things and there's no way to reconcile them
even for a single platform, let alone across platforms. To figure out
what ps_drop means you need to dig into the interface driver code and the ip
stack.
ntop
shows it's numbers on the Stats | Traffic page - look for For device: 'eth1' (current reporting
device).
The OS typically
shows it's numbers via ifconfig or some such tool.
