Reading the section in the FAQ that describes the removal of the option you're talking about.  If you don't have a current copy of the faq (it should be in the code you downloaded), a reasonablly recent version can be found in the documentation section of http://www.ntopsupport.com.

READ the documentation (esp. docs/FAQ) and the back traffic on this list.  The issue of 'persistent' data has been discussed MANY, MANY times.

Subject: [Ntop] Client Usage Report can't save

Hi,
I'm newbies to Ntop and just get it install & run yesterday.
My problem is, NTOP couldn't save the client MB usage. When the client turn off the PC, it was disappear from report (Network Traffic: Total Data (Sent+Received)). All the client MB usage will disappear if I restart the RH 9.0 loaded with NTOP.
I didn't activate the RRDTOOL Plug-in. Because of this, it can't record the client MB usage data ??

    Thanks in advance.
