I'm using ntop 2.2 MT from the freebsd ports collection. That version advertises an option called --filter-rule which looks very useful but isn't implemented in 2.2. So I asked google, and google pointed me to a man page called ntop-rules (see http://olympus.het.brown.edu/cgi-bin/man2html?ntop-rules+8).
So far so good. Now my questions:
1. Is the --filter-rule something that's newer than ntop 2.2, or is it old and replaced by something better?
2. Can I get rule-based alarms using ntop 2.2?
