Hi,

I'm having trouble getting ntop to display sflow info.

It's listening for sflow:

sockstat | grep 6343
nobody ntop 2942 1 udp4 *:6343 *:*

I'm getting sflow:

tcpdump -n | grep 6343
13:09:20.566578 128.32.186.124.8888 > 128.32.206.223.6343: udp 348 (DF)
13:09:21.266426 128.32.241.237.8888 > 128.32.206.223.6343: udp 132 (DF)
13:09:21.551393 128.32.186.124.8888 > 128.32.206.223.6343: udp 240 (DF)
13:09:22.252246 128.32.241.237.8888 > 128.32.206.223.6343: udp 456 (DF)
13:09:22.536399 128.32.186.124.8888 > 128.32.206.223.6343: udp 132 (DF)
13:09:23.236200 128.32.241.237.8888 > 128.32.206.223.6343: udp 132 (DF)
13:09:23.521199 128.32.186.124.8888 > 128.32.206.223.6343: udp 456 (DF)
13:09:24.224634 128.32.241.237.8888 > 128.32.206.223.6343: udp 564 (DF)
13:09:24.506123 128.32.186.124.8888 > 128.32.206.223.6343: udp 564 (DF)

The sflow has data in it ("confirmed" by ethereal)

But "total->all protocols" shows nothing.

In the file /usr/local/etc/rc.d/ntop, setting "interfaces" to
'sFlow-device' seems to prevent the program from starting. Should a different
command line string be resulting?

/usr/local/etc/rc.d/ntop.sh start
ps aux | grep ntop
nobody 3014 0.4 1.8 19956 9260 ?? Ss 1:14PM 0:00.11 /usr/local/bin/ntop -d
-L -w 3000 -W 3001 -u nobody -E

Any suggestions? This used to be working, but I think it stoped when I
upgraded ntop....

Thanks,

Mike

Note: The generated id below should be unique. It's essentially a random 6 or 7
character tracking tag for each problem report. Since it's generated on
your machine, we can't just use an ever increasing global number.

While it should be unique, it is not traceable back to a specific user or
machine. If it makes you uncomfortable just delete it.
