After having read various documens on ntop, I'm still confused if it's the tool for me (the network terminology is new to me).
I'm looking for a tool that will allow me to see the traffic generated (type and amount) by an internal host at a given time (given some resolution).
Thus I need a tool that logs the figures and allows me to study network activity for a given IP address for eg. the past 3 weeks. Can ntop do this? (It's not clear to me if ntop can store data for later display, or if it only provides a "current" view of network activity).
