If you're using the cvs, join ntop-dev. That's where cvs version stuff belongs. You can also search both lists @ gmane.
However, we have a very active FreeBSD user, Stanley Hopcroft. Stanley sent me a census report last Friday: i386-freebsd4.9 | 2.2.99 | MT | FreeBSD unknown 4.9-RELEASE-p1 | 2.95.4 so I know he's actively and successfully using FreeBSD. What browser are you using? Can you try a couple of others??? There's been some historical issues w/ sigpipe exceptions, which ntop should be ignoring, but which cause things to appear not to work. Check the log for anything odd or interesting... For that matter, when in daemon mode, can you connect via something like wget? If you can, pull down textinfo.html, which would have more interesting counts. -----Burton > -----Original Message----- > From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Behalf Of > Grilli, Laurent > Sent: Wednesday, January 28, 2004 5:21 PM > To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] > Subject: [Ntop] NTOP 2.2.99 CVS and FreeBSD4.9 no web report when > running in dae mon mode > > > Hi all, > > I have just compiled the cvs version 2.2.99 on a FreeBSD 4.9-STABLE, > everything went fine, but when I try to put ntop in daemon mode with the -d > flag, I can't connect to the web report, if I run ntop without > -d, I got it > without any problems. > > If I put the ntop in daemon mode with the & like this : ntop -u ntop -P > /var/db/ntop &, it works fine also. > > I don't know if it's a known issues (not seen in the maillist, > but I'm just > registered to ntop and not ntop-dev) and I don't if it's part of the > unexpected to expect...by running the developpement version. > > Thanks for the good job and for any reply > Laurent Grilli > > > Here is the log file: > > ntop Configuration > > > ntop version.....2.2.99 > Configured on.....Jan 28 2004 23:37:19 > Built on.....Jan 28 2004 23:38:35 > OS.....i386-unknown-freebsd4.9 > This version of ntop is.....the current DEVELOPMENT version - Expect the > unexpected!
