2.2.98 is getting long in the tooth. Luca put a fix in after .99 that fixed
many of these cases - it showed up with MS' last IE patch.  Give the latest
cvs (or at least 3.0pre1) a try.

You can also try turning off HTTP 1.1 in the Options | advanced dialog.  The
version of basic authentication in HTTP 1.0 still seems to work.

If you don't remember the password, just delete the file and recreate it
(follow instructions in 1STRUN.txt).  As long as all you delete is the
ntop_pw.db, you won't lose any other data.
