Surely there are many ways of reading the manual. One can do so on screen using a pager such as less or more. One can print it out. One can open it in an editor and use the search functions to find that which one seeks. One can perhaps read the ntop man page which has a description of the filter command. One could perhaps read the 110 page docs/FAQ document and seek within that document further elaborations upon the filter command. As always, one could provide us with a little bit - nay even just a few tiny little snippets - of information about one's setup so as to allow us to provide one with useful suggestions.
