Nope, you are incorrect - the options in the rrd plugin are persistent and
control all new rrds (that is those created after the parameters are
changed).  There's info about these parameters and how they interact in the
docs/FAQ file and the ntop and rrd plugin paper @ SourceForge.

Note that you won't save much - they're already pretty small, under 35K
already.
