Thanks for your last response, - My configuration file is the default configuration, without modification and i have try many different command line to lunch ntop with the same results.

- I have try with --set-pcap-nonblocking option and without this option
with the same results

- I have show the netstat result and the port 3000 is close for the
localhost and th host address

- I have test the web site with lynx because ntop is installed on my
gateway and in haven't install X

- I am not forcing IPv6, The problem is that freebsd 5.2 is dual stack
(ipv4 ipv6) and I think that ntop is quite disturbing by this. I can
just bind the server with the ipv6 localhost address.

1. What settings are buried in the .conf file? Specifically,

are you running

with --set-pcap-nonblocking? It should be forced in there, but

try adding

it anyway.

2. What browser? Have you tried others? There is a Windows tool called
WebBug that lets you send basic requests and see exactly what

you get back -

look for it on the web.

3. Is ntop even seeing the request?? You can enable debugging via the
#define statements in globals-defines.h --

/* URL_DEBUG causes http.c to log information regarding

processing of URLs

* received by the ntop web server
*/
/* #define URL_DEBUG */

4. That looks like an IPv6 address. I don't know how extensively that's
been tested... have you tried specifying the -6 flag to force IPv6
connections?

5. For that matter, what does netstat show ntop has bound to??
