Subject: RE: [Ntop] How to avoid 'hardware duplicates' using span/mirror
ports?

Hello.

I have ntop 3.0pre1 running on RedHat 9 and wonna upgrade to stable version.
I've tried to use the rpm, but I got various dependencies failures.

How can I use src.rpm instead?

Using src.rpm can avoid me to install all the dependencies I got with rpm?

Does the ntop 3.0pre1 need to be uninstalled before the new instalation (the
3.0pre1 was installed using tar.gz)?

If needed, how can I uninstall the tar.gz?

Thanks inadvance.

Regards,

Wilson
