That set of instructions applied to v2.1, the -b option. SQL database support was removed in version 2.1.50+ (development for 2.2) - look in docs/FAQ.
Even 2.2c is unsupported. You really should move to 3.0 - it's much more stable, better interface, etc. Look at the paper @ SourceForge on rrds for more info. Or search the back traffic to this list - there are some people using the ntop extract + periodic (crontab type) scripts to insert the data into an SQL database. -----Burton > -----Original Message----- > From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Behalf Of kino > kino > Sent: Wednesday, April 28, 2004 9:50 AM > To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] > Subject: [Ntop] (Ntop & MySQL) can't find mySQLdefs.txt > > > Hi,Hope this is the correct list for this problem.I'd like to > save Ntop data into a MySQL DB so I followed the instruction > contained in ntop-3.0/docs/database/README.mySQL from the last > ntop archive: 'ntop-3.0.tgz.tar'I created the a DB 'NTOP' but I > can't found the script mySQLdefs.txt in the any directory.I > searched unsuccessfully a solution on various forums and I found > this page but it didn't > help.http://lists.ntop.org/pipermail/ntop/2002-November/003838.htm > lDo I need to compile the source code in order to access the file > ?
