And in the past I would have done the research you suggested and probably opened the link. But with all the stuff that's gone on in the last few months, I've changed my advice to family, friends and such - and so it behoves me to follow it myself. The advice is quite simple: Don't click on ANYTHING in an email message. If it's an attachment, make sure it's from somebody you know AND that you are expecting that precise item. Meaning that: * Professionally I send notes to people telling them that I will be sending them something before I send it. * Personally, I depend upon recognizing the style and context of a message. If it's purports to be from Mom and it references a conversation we had last night, it's probably safe. If it's a link, then go to the published web page for that corporation and follow their internal links. From eBay? Start at http://www.ebay.com. >From PayPay? http://www.paypay.com, etc. When I send a link, to a news story or something, I cut & paste the meat of the article into the body of the message. So, if you're with me this far, you're wondering how to safely handle your bug? The answer is to cut & paste the SOURCE from the html document: "On the xxxx page, I'm seeing a weird page number, 32 of 21 with no actual data on the page. It's probably a bug... here's the html:
[ 1 / 2 ]
NOTE:
and no, that's not great, but it's about the only SAFE way I can think of... -----Burton _______________________________________________ Ntop mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://listgateway.unipi.it/mailman/listinfo/ntop
