Well you don't tell us the most essential piece of information, which is what ntop are you installing? Binary? Source?? Where from??? Read docs/FAQ for the HowTo Ask for Help...
In general, you need to make sure that the binary you are installing is created for the right version of all libraries, i.e. the ones on your system. This is especially true w/ gd - 1.8.x and 2.0.x are NOT compatible at either the source or binary level. And there's a lot of change in gd across the 2.0.x series... This means you may need to rebuild the rpm on your system before installing it. Remember you'll need the full set of libraries (e.g. the -devel- etc.) to do this. man rpm and man rpmbuild to see how. -----Burton > -----Original Message----- > From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Behalf Of > [EMAIL PROTECTED] > Sent: Friday, June 11, 2004 7:39 AM > To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] > Subject: [Ntop] Problems with ntop3.0&rrd&Fedora core1 > > > Hello, > > I have the following problem: > at the start of ntop, I get the following warning: > > Fri Jun 11 14:32:40 2004 **WARNING** Unable to load plugin > '/usr/local/lib/ntop/plugins/rrdPlugin.so' > Fri Jun 11 14:32:40 2004 **WARNING** Message is > '/usr/local/lib/ntop/plugins/rrdPlugin.so: undefined symbol: > gdImageCreateFromGd' > > I use fedora, core 1. > Perhaps, it's a problem with gd (version 2.0.15-1, std of fedora core1). > I've tried to install gd-1.8.4-11 and to remove gd-2.0.15-1 via > rpm, but it > won't worked (the installation). > So I reinstalled version 2.0.15-1 of gd. > > Any idea ? > > Thanks a lot !!!! > > Best regards > Juergen > _______________________________________________ > Ntop mailing list > [EMAIL PROTECTED] > http://listgateway.unipi.it/mailman/listinfo/ntop _______________________________________________ Ntop mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://listgateway.unipi.it/mailman/listinfo/ntop
