Hi everybody, this is for shure a dumb question, anyway... I'm running ntop 3.0 on a SuSE 8.1 used as gateway.
Looking at the amount of memory used by ntop (it was restarted 15 days ago), I'm seeing something strange: memory usage reported by "top": PRI NI SIZE RSS SHARE STAT %CPU %MEM TIME COMMAND 25 0 539M 320M 2876 S 4.2 50.9 796:04 ntop Memory usage reported by "textinfo.html": Memory Usage IPX/SAP Hash Size (bytes).....1897 IP to country flag table (bytes).....1614732 (1.5 MB) Bytes per entry.....30.8 IP to AS (Autonomous System) number table (bytes).....0 (0.0 MB) Current memory usage.....185618432 Base memory usage.....7474404 Hosts stored (active+cache).....2388 = (2388 + 0) (very) Approximate memory per host.....72.9KB Anyone is able to explain me the relationship between theese data?
