If anyone recalls I posted on 12/21 with this problem. Though I did not try
starting up ntop without -d, but I just tried it and it is capturing data.
I am running RH8.

Do you have this symptom only when using the "-d (--daemon)" switch, or do
you have this in both console and daemon mode?

I have a similar problem -- using ntop 3.1 on Fedora Core 2, it sees zero
packets, ever. (I've got the same problem whether I build from source or
whether I use the 3.1 RPM.).
