Looking at man tcpdump on my machine, I see the following example:
To print traffic neither sourced from nor destined for local hosts
(if
you gateway to one other net, this stuff should never make it onto
your
local net).
tcpdump ip and not net localnet
Would something like this help?

I'm trying to filter out all local to local traffic. When I try this with
the following filter, src net not 10.24 and dst net not 10.24, it seems to
see the 'and' as an 'or'. It ends up filtering out any traffic coming from
the 10.24 network or any traffic destined for the 10.24 network. Any ideas?
