i am using ntop latest version 3.1
with red hat 9 (2.4.20-8)
previously i use to use it on real ip thats on internet
so it would freeze or crash after few hours .
i hosted ntop on private ip in my lan.
and it works fine till now i dont have any issues.
very very thanks to mr burton and my dear friend chir.moore.
#ntop --skip-version-check -X 500 --use-syslog=local0
ntop is very handyu except that it is not having good storage capacity
if u only need to implement ntop for netflow purpose
then implement netflowmonitor
its free ware but runs well rh9 coz i am running tat also.
any ways i think this information could help any one.
The Happiest of people dont necessarily have the best, They just make the best of every thing comes along the way.
