No.  ntop doesn't do SNMP.  There is a plugin which allows ntop to MONITOR
SNMP, but that's it.  We discussed this on-list a couple of weeks ago
although not in great detail.

You could probably create an SNMP trap generating plugin - that's just UDP
broadcasts IIRC.  Defining a MIB and making it accessible could also be
done, but would be more work.  Contact me off list if you are interested in
sponsoring the development work.

Does NTOP have tyhe abliity to generate a alarm or a SNMP trap when certain
thresholds have been exceeded - for example i use ntop to monitor my
companies WAN link to our corporate backbone - and i have serveral users
that "HOG" or abuse the link 

when this happens i have to manually go look who (what IP address) is the
"TOP talker/throughput" can i get ntop to warm me on such an occurance ?
