Hi all,

I am unable to find a concise description of the
Ntop disc utilization.

I have used Ntop to analyse my network traffic.
However, I can't know where does Ntop exactly store
data that it generates concerning network activity.
I have read the "Effective Traffic Measurment Using
ntop" document written by Luca Deri. I understood that
Ntop stores hosts information in a large hash table
and that it purges hosts' tables when necessary...

I will be glad if you could answer the following two
questions:
1- How mach disc space does Ntop need to be able to
store information that it genarates concerning hosts
and network traffic.
2- Is it possible to allow to ntop a fixed amount of
disc space and to make it overwrite stored data if it
needs more disc space than the allowed?

Thank you

Best regards

Bahya
