Hi, I just read the thread which Rory Prendergast started about a
month ago regarding his adventures of ntop on OpenBSD - just to note,
I too would love further ntop support on OpenBSD. Anyhow, on to my
problem..

I have an ntop box running on Linux (FC3) at 192.168.120.22:3000,
simple non-ssl, working fine.

I have an OpenBSD 3.6 box running apache 1.3 at 192.168.120.35, port
80 (will likely switch to ssl once I get this issue resolved)

What I want to do is have the OpenBSD/apache box proxy requests to the
ntop system, as described by Toby Johnson @
http://www.ntop.org/UsageNotes.html and Rory's email. I have tried
setting this up, but I get two errors randomly. First I will get the
apache 502 Proxy Error page:

"The proxy server received an invalid response from an upstream server. \
The proxy server could not handle the request GET /ntop/. \
Reason: Error reading from remote server"

And secondly, sometimes I will get an ntop error:

"Error 403 \
Server refused to fulfill your request. \
Received request: \
"GET // HTTP/1.1""

Also of note, the image at the top does not load (it's location is
http://192.168.120.35/ntop_logo.gif, which should have gotten
rewritten to /ntop/ntop_logo.gif - however going to
http://192.168.120.35/ntop/ntop_logo.gif returns an Apache 502 error
as well.)

Here is my ProxyPass/Rewrite section of httpd.conf:

--------------------------
ProxyPass /ntop http://192.168.120.22:3000/
ProxyPassReverse /ntop http://192.168.120.22:3000/

RewriteEngine On
RewriteCond %{HTTP_REFERER} 192.168.120.35/ntop
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_URI} !^/ntop
RewriteRule ^(.*)$ http://192.168.120.35/ntop$1 [L,P]
--------------------------

Here's some system info for the OpenBSD box:

--------------------------
# uname -a
OpenBSD nedi.northseattle.edu 3.6 GENERIC#59 i386

# httpd -v
Server version: Apache/1.3.29 (Unix)
Server built: Sep 10 2004 14:25:11
--------------------------

Any pointers or fixes for the problem would be greatly appreciated,
thanks in advance! =)

-Ian
