Hello!

We actually experience serious problems with our NTOP installation.

The software runs on a gentoo Linux kernel 2.6.11.2 (SMP) on a dual Xeon 2.4Ghz system.

We tried the lastest version on webpage as well as several cvs builds.

The current command line to start has the following switches:

-d -B "not (src net 10.0.0.0/8 and dst net 10.0.0.0/8)" -m "10.0.0.0/8,224.0.0.0/24,213.61.241.37/32,192.168.0.0/16" -i "eth2,eth3,eth4" -u root

NTOP runs fine for a randome time of minutes, after that it simply does not collect any more data (at least the webpages are not updated anymore).

The logfile does not give out any error or information beside the startup messages.

Libpcap is version 0.8.3-r1 (actual portage release).

I tried to investigate this issue via gdb but the debugger command does not give me any single output after starting ntop.

I hope someone can lead me into right direction, atm we’re lost…

Gru,

Daniel
