I am currently in Iraq with the US Army, we have 4 satellite internet connections that I have build 4 linux servers for. Each of these servers has 30-40 users accessing the internet. I have been using nTop 3.0 to monitor traffic and iptables to block users that violate our internet policy or use excessive bandwidth. I recently upgraded nTop to 3.1 and I like the interface, but it doesn't seem to be doing reverse DNS lookups on the "Packet Statistics" or "Last Contacted Peers" on the detailed host information page. When I view "Local --> Remote" traffic, the hosts are all resolved fine, but when I click on a host, the only place nTop is resolving IP Addresses is in the "Active TCP Sessions" area. I am looking for an easy fix, but I can write a workaround in perl if necessary.
