1) Not w/o coding
2) RRDs
3) Unfortunately that's not abnormal - experimentally, it's the call to
pcap_stats that loses packets, so the more you check this the more you lose.

Subject: [Ntop] Couple of usage questions

Hi,

I've been using NTOP for a few days and wondered if the following
functionality exists, or do I need to write something external.

i) Network Load Statistics. Is it possible for NTOP to display more than
just the top 3 hosts ?

Ii) Will Ntop display the statistics for a specified period. At the moment
I'm resetting them each day, but would like the ability to view historical.
I've spotted a plug-in for Cacti, but I have around 9000 hosts which is a
lot of RRDs :-)

Iii) Dropped (libpcap) I'm seeing 1-5% dropped packets. Any suggestions as
to how I might clean this up. Is PF_RING the way forward ?

Thanks for any help

Gaz
