Not sure about the other questions but the error you are getting is indicating I think that it cant write the .db file to the directory –

 

C:\Program Files\ntop-Win32/prefs

Cache.db

 

The –P option tells it a place where it can write the files too.

 

Maybe the /prefs is throwing it off and it should be \prefs ?

Would anyone know how to fix this. Also what the differencein using ntop has a service and console. How would u basically use ntop as a application instead of a service in windows XP.
