I wouldn't use it JUST for that...I would get an SNMP capable router/switch/etc and use MRTG, it's better designed for it. I use NTOP for in depth analysis, using it for bandwidth monitoring is like driving a semi truck to work, it gets you there, but may not be the best tool for the job.
