JL> sudo ntop -u jlay -w 3010 -d -P /usr/local/var/ntop
JL> gives me no data, whereas
JL> sudo ntop -u jlay -w 3010 -P /usr/local/var/ntop &
JL> gives me data. Any place I can look to try and find out why this is?
I had this kind of problem some time ago, and i found out that permissions
on $ntop_home/var/*.db files were changed to root:root if i'm running it as
application, so daemon just can't write data.
