gdbm.h is part of the gdbm-devel package, not gdbm.
Try installing it and rerun ./configure. If it is installed then the file
is some where ntop isn't looking and you'll need to tell ntop where to find
it. ./configure --help will show you the various parameters you can
set.

Subject: [Ntop] problem in installation in RedHat ES3.
Greetings!
Does
ntop support Redhat ES3? I have installed ntop3.2 on RedHat 7.3 and
9
And
found no error. On the other hand, upon installation of ntop3.2 on RedHat ES3,
I have
encountered this error ..
*
ERROR: gdbm header or library routines are missing
*
(yes means it was found, no means it was not
found)
*
*
gdbm.h...no
*
gdbm_open() in -lgdbm...no
Any
thoughts?
