Does your WLAN card support sniffing, and have a driver capable of promiscous mode?
I would try and specify the interface from the command line, as that will give you better feedback. -i eth1 would be the switch to provide. I run ntop in Web-server mode, and I would like to change from interface eth0 to eth1 on my laptop. I try to do this by changing to eth1 in the Admin-Configure-Preferences window and do Set, but still ntop collects data from eth0. I also restart ntop from the linux Control Center (Control Center - YAST2Modules - System - System Services), but still it uses eth0. What must I do to change the interface from eth0 to eth1 in Web-server mode? By the way; is ntop able to collect traffic at a WLAN interface? Thanks! /BV
