You don't buy the windows version. You pay a small fee for the convenience of being able to download pre-built binaries.

I just installed NTOP for Windows 3.2.5 on a Windows 2003 server with SP1. The Ntop service starts than stops within a few seconds and an application log is generated stating the following.

Windows Application Log

Event ID 1000

Faulting application ntop.exe, version 0.0.0.0, faulting module unknown, version 0.0.0.0, fault address 0x2bc2ae8b.

Please let me know if there is a workaround for this error or how to get this version of Ntop working on a Windows 2003 server running SP1.
