Hi,

I extensively have used ntop with Linux bridging and I never experimented
such problem. In some cases I got this problem and I solve exchanging the
NIC.

Assunto: [Ntop] question about ntop dropping large amount packages and
not updating itself

Hi

I have a question about the ntop installation on my BrazilFW box (a
small firewall linux distribution).

This is what I observed: the ntop can run correctly on the linux box,
however, it only shows the first couple hundreds of packages, then it
stops collecting packets. When I look at the trafficstats.html, it shows
that there are large amount of dropped packets from libpcap, and total
received (ntop) is constant all the time.

It seems ntop doesn't read the packet since all the packets are dropped
by libpcap.

BTW, this linux box is configured as a bridge (although I don't think it
will affect anything, since I have tested ntop on another linux bridge
based on CentOS and that works fine).

Any suggestions are appreciated.

Thanks,
Jiang
