Hello Group...

Thanks for your reply for the problems I have posted with Ntop + RRD. Since
yesterday I have disabled the RRD plugin and Ntop has been working without
any problems for over a day. So this indicates that the problem was with
RRD.

Has any one experienced such issue with their Ntop+RRD installation. And how
did you over come this problem....

As I have mentioned before with RRD plugin running Ntop Stops randomly and
by checking the Logs there was a problem with RRD updates (some sort of time
stamp issue where it tries to update RRD files with same time stamp and
doesn't accept it as its looking for a higher time stamp)

Thank you all for your valuable help.

Regards
Haydar

I have seen this msg. In my cases it was related to hardware (NIC, IRQ
assignments).

Hello all,

I'm currently using ntop for traffic measurement and monitoring on our
academic
network. Well, it works fine !

As a bonus, I would like to set up detections of network security
violations as
described in many Luca's papers. Unfortunately, I'm not able to find
where to set up
this functionnality and specially where to customize the way the
administrator is notified
(by email would be relevant for me).

Any help would appreciated.

Cheers.
